Black Mirror is happening now

In the restaurants there are no menus, there are no waiters, there is no cash here, there is only WeeChat…
…they know

what you talk about
who you talk to
what you read
where you go
why you’re going there
who’s there
how you spend your money online
how you spend your money offline

Is this our very near and foreseeable future?

I can share with you my experience from India. When we (me and my wife) were in India for the first time, it was five years ago. There was just very limited internet access and a very limited set of services. In two years, when we visited India for the second time, everything has changed. It took only two years and India shifted to digital age. Of course, you can still order TukTuk, but why, if everywhere is OLA – the Indian version of Uber? Its cheap, its working well and the application is great.

Is it a night and you are hungry? No problem, you can use dozens of food delivery applications like Swiggy, Zomato Order, Uber Eats, Foodpanda, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, JustEat, Faaso’s, TastyKhana, FoodMingo … etc.
But, the important thing is, that the „super applications“ are also already here.  You can use Grab or Go-Jek and I believe, that in the very near future, there will be other big players from China.

„Super Application“ means, that these applications aggregate all functionalities that users need. In one application is concentrated all your online and even offline life. I mean, all the functionalities, which support your online and offline being. In Asia, the computers are already dead, the web pages designed for computers are dead, the amount of newly installed mobile applications is zero. Everything you need is already in your „super applications“ on your mobile phones.
